Membership of Footlights is open to any young person above the age of 9, and under the age of 18.

What do you get?

• The opportunity to :
  • be involved with a beautiful 460 seat theatre and to meet new people, make new friends, and increase your skills and confidence.
  • audition for a part in one of the two Footlights "family friendly" productions -the week long 'family show' in June and the 4 week panto in December.
    These normally include between 10 and 30 young people under the age of 18 who benefit from coaching and direction whether in a main part or part of the chorus.
  • opportunity to join the one week Act One Summer school where children are coached for a performance on the theatre stage on the Friday  with an audience present
  • participate in one day skills courses put on from time to time
• A monthly emailed copy of ‘Footnote’ which includes Footlights news, dates of auditions, shows and events and generally what’s going on at the theatre.
  Please note – this correspondence will be sent to the responsible adult/parent/carer that completes the application form on behalf of the child or young person.
  It is this person’s responsibility to pass on the relevant information to the Child / Young Person – separate correspondence will not be sent direct to children.
