BOX OFFICE (RELIEF) VACANCY
Following a staff retirement, there is now a vacancy for the relief cover staff member in the box office.
The Box office is open Monday to Saturday each week for personal and telephone callers. There are four box office staff, three of whom provide normal cover on their regular rostered days with the relief being first choice for providing cover. The cover rota is drawn up two months in advance in collaboration with each staff member. All staff (including the relief) indicate their availability so that the rota can be drawn up taking into account holidays and other absences. Any uncovered shifts are offered to the relief in the first instance before being offered to the rest of the team to ensure cover.
A shift is typically 5 ½ hrs long from 9.45am to 3.15pm with the Box Office open between 10am and 3pm. The day is a varied mix of face-to-face customers, telephone calls and some e mails. The Box Office team work collaboratively sharing information using a handover book and emails. They also work closely with the theatre manager and marketing assistant in promoting events to customers. . The hourly rate is £8.89.
