Oh Yes It Is! Lancaster Grand Theatre Gets Ready for Panto Season

It’s almost panto season at Lancaster Grand Theatre, and this year audiences are invited to journey deep into Sherwood Forest for a magical family adventure with Robin Hood!

28th November – 28th December (various times / dates)

When the wicked Sheriff of Nottingham decides to tax the townsfolk into misery, life in Sherwood Forest becomes anything but merry. But the Sheriff has an even more dastardly plan up his sleeve to get rid of King John’s young niece and nephew once and for all.

Luckily, Robin Hood is on hand to save the day.

Joined by the brave and brilliant Maid Marion, Robin and his loyal band of Merry Men and Women must stand up to the Sheriff and put an end to his wicked schemes. But with the Sheriff’s hilariously hopeless sidekicks Snivel and Grovel causing chaos at every turn, things are never quite as simple as they seem!

Packed with everything audiences love about a traditional family pantomime, Robin Hood promises plenty of comedy, catchy songs, dazzling dancing, audience participation and, of course, lots of opportunities to boo the baddies and cheer for the heroes.

From the first “Oh no it isn’t!” to the final curtain, audiences can expect plenty of comic chaos, larger-than-life characters and festive fun as Robin and his friends take on the Sheriff in a battle to save Sherwood Forest.

Whether it’s your family’s annual panto tradition or your first visit to the theatre this Christmas, Robin Hood is set to be a magical festive treat for audiences of all ages.
